Frequently Asked Questions
CSA FAQ
When does the CSA season run?
Our main season runs June through September. We offer Monthly, Biweekly, and Weekly veggie shares, as well as Flower CSA options ranging from 4 to 16 weeks. Peony Month CSA runs in May.
What will be in my CSA box?
Each box reflects what’s in season on the farm — always fresh, chemical-free, and harvested within 24 hours of pickup. We include a mix of staple vegetables, seasonal specialties, and occasional surprises.
Can I choose what goes in my box?
Not at this time. CSA stands for community supported agriculture — members receive a curated selection based on what’s ready to harvest. This helps us reduce waste and ensures you get the freshest produce possible.
What if I’m out of town?
You can:
Have a friend or neighbor pick up your share
Donate it (we do this at no extra charge)
Switch to delivery (if timing works)
We’re not able to hold boxes past 24 hours.
Flower CSA FAQ
How many stems are in a bouquet?
Our bouquets are generous, typically 15–30 stems depending on the month and flower varieties.
Can I pick a specific color palette?
Not for CSA bouquets. Each week is designed using what’s blooming in the field — ensuring freshness, beauty, and variety.
What flowers will I receive?
June brings early blooms (snapdragons, sweet peas), July is peak color, August and September are dahlia-heavy, lush, and dramatic.
Are bouquets wrapped?
Yes — bouquets are paper-wrapped and water-tubed for freshness.
Egg, Honey & Farm Goods FAQ
How fresh are your eggs?
Extremely — eggs are collected daily from our free-ranging flock and distributed within days, often within 24 hours.
Do you wash your eggs?
(Choose one; tell me which applies and I’ll adjust.)
Unwashed: We keep the natural bloom intact for longer shelf life.
Washed: Rinsed and sanitized per MN guidelines.
How is your honey processed?
Our raw honey is single-filtered only, never heated, and bottled in small batches to preserve enzymes, pollen, and flavor.
